We have four divisions within our company in which employment opportunities become available. Locksmithing, Electronic Security, Alarm Systems and Retail Store Operations, as well several office/support positions.

Locksmith Technician / Installer

Comlock Security Group, Inc. We are looking for Locksmith with 2 years’ experience.  No automotive work required.  Must have the ability to work with master key systems, install hardware, re-key locks, some safe work required, welding experience a plus.

Must be detailed in work, have excellent troubleshooting skills, clean driving record and able to work independently and as a team member.  Good customer interaction and communication skills a must. Company is based in the city of Orange and servicing the Greater Southern California area.  Must have own hand tools.  Night call work and overtime may be required. Good attendance and being on time for work is required. 

 Performs traditional commercial locksmith duties, except no automotive work.

  • Evaluate, diagnose and troubleshoots locking hardware issues.
  • Prepare documentation as needed in writing for master key systems.
  • Can work with master key systems as well as generate simple master key systems in the field.
  • Can master key lock cylinders including BEST IC core.
  • Can install panic hardware, door closers, latch guards and other commercial hardware.
  • Available for after-hours emergency service/night calls.  On a scheduled basis.
  • Exhibit effective customer service skills by consistently communicating with Service Coordinator and customers to ensure complete customer satisfaction experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including attending training classes when offered.
  • Ability to lift/move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work from ladders.
  • Maintain accurate truck inventory and truck cleanliness.
  • Attend mandatory meetings as scheduled.

Position Requirements:

  • Requires minimum of 2 years full time experience.  No exceptions!
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with applicable codes.
  • Deadline driven.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Being on time for work.
  • Must have a current, valid California driver's license and a reasonably clean driving record. 
  • Customer friendly attitude and interactions.

Alarm Installer

Orange County Alarm Company is seeking an experience Alarm Service/Installation Technician.  Video surveillance and electronic access control knowledge a plus.  This person will be responsible for performing installation, service, troubleshooting, alternation and programming of security related systems.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Performs service/installation of commercial and residential alarm systems.
  • Performs service/installation of access control and security cameras systems.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot and make repairs or adjustments as necessary.
  • Install upgrades and additions to security systems.
  • Computer program entry as required for security systems.
  • Train customers on how to use the systems we install.
  • Prepare documentation as needed in written and/or electronic formats.
  • Responsible for reading and understanding technical drawings, assigned project documentation and work orders including scope of work and determine if additional information is needed.
  • Available for on-call work to respond to after-hours emergency service calls.
  • Exhibit effective customer service skills by consistently communicating with Service Coordinator and customers to ensure complete customer satisfaction experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including attending training classes when offered.
  • Ability to lift/move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work from ladders or man lifts at extended heights.
  • Maintain accurate truck inventory and vehicle cleanliness both interior and exterior.
  • Attend mandatory meetings as scheduled.
  • Follow up with customers as necessary.
  • Accurately invoice customers as appropriate.
  • Promote company offerings to clients and potential clients both verbally and using company media.

Position Requirements:

  • Experience in servicing, troubleshooting and programming alarm, security camera and access control systems.
  • Fire Alarm Systems installation and service experience, including fire system testing, a plus.
  • Some Networking experience required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical experience in low voltage systems.
  • Familiarity with applicable codes.
  • Detail oriented and deadline driven.
  • Being on time for work.
  • Must have a current, valid California driver's license in good standing and have the ability to meet our company driving standards.
  • Ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years’ experience.
  • Will consider less experience if candidate has the right skillsets to build on.

Job Type: Full-time - Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, closed Saturday and Sunday.

Salary: $40,000.00 to $70,000.00 /year DOE
